SAEDNEWS: Russian Beauty Queen Unable to Close Her Eyes or Smile After £3,000 Plastic Surgery
According to Saed News, citing Fararu:A 43-year-old woman who was the runner-up in a Russian beauty pageant in 2020 has alleged that a series of cosmetic procedures left her with permanent facial disfigurement and severe complications.
Yulia Tarasevich underwent a facelift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and mini liposuction at a cosmetic clinic in Krasnodar, southern Russia. According to her, the procedures resulted in life-altering complications. She says she is no longer able to fully close her eyes, smile, or move parts of her face.

Tarasevich has filed a legal complaint against the two surgeons who performed the operations, claiming the procedures caused irreversible damage.
The surgeons, however, deny any wrongdoing. They argue that the complications were caused by a previously undiagnosed genetic condition rather than surgical errors. Specifically, they claim Tarasevich suffers from scleroderma, a rare progressive autoimmune disease that can cause the skin to become thick, hard, and tight, while also affecting connective tissues and internal organs. According to the doctors, the condition could not have been detected before surgery.

Tarasevich rejects this explanation. She states that she had previously undergone rhinoplasty (nose surgery) without any complications, which she believes demonstrates that she did not have an underlying genetic disorder affecting her recovery.
A mother of two, Tarasevich says she has spent approximately £20,000 on corrective treatments in an attempt to restore her facial function, but without success. Describing her condition, she said that her cheeks were left scarred, she cannot close her eyes, cannot smile, is unable to move her upper lip, and has lost movement on one side of her face.

As of now, no publicly available evidence has confirmed that Tarasevich has scleroderma. According to Russia's Investigative Committee, the two surgeons have been questioned as part of an investigation into whether they violated patient safety and health protection regulations.
