According to SaedNews: Donald Trump continued his statements about Iran and the Strait of Hormuz, while facing pressure over the consequences of his failed military campaign against Iran.
Trump, who had threatened Oman with bombing hours earlier, later claimed that the United States was dealing well with the Omani government.
The US president repeated his claim that Iran will never be able to possess nuclear weapons. The statement comes as Iran says its nuclear activities have always been peaceful, and that no evidence has been presented by the International Atomic Energy Agency proving a military direction for its program.
Trump claimed that Iran wants to reach an agreement, but added that Tehran is not close to the type of deal he considers necessary.
Speaking about North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Trump said they had spent time together and understood each other. He added that although Kim did not like certain people, he personally had a good relationship with him.
During a press conference, Trump also clashed with a CNN reporter. He told the journalist, “Be quiet. You are not a respectful person. Who do you work for?” When the reporter answered “CNN,” Trump responded by accusing him of producing fake news and being a fake journalist.
