Washington’s Moves to Destabilize Lebanon, With Blame Pointed at Hezbollah

According to SAEDNEWS, the U.S. State Department, in a step coordinated with the policies of the Israeli regime and while ignoring Hezbollah’s deterrent role, has accused the movement of attempting to “destabilize” Lebanon—an explicit deflection aimed at covering up Israel’s occupation and its ongoing violations of Lebanese airspace.

This comes while Washington, through restrictive policies and by preventing the Lebanese army from being properly equipped, has effectively weakened Lebanon’s defensive capabilities against daily Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon.

When the supporter of the “occupier” appears in the guise of a “peace advocate”

In its recent statement, the U.S. State Department repeated baseless claims, alleging that Hezbollah is obstructing the Lebanese government’s reconstruction efforts. This accusation comes despite modern Lebanese history bearing witness to the sacrifices of resistance fighters in preserving the country’s territorial integrity—fighters who, through their blood, prevented Lebanon from becoming an open playground for Israeli occupation.

Washington is attempting, through this rhetoric, to create a divide between the government and the resistance, portraying Hezbollah—the actual guarantor of public security—as being in opposition to the state. Meanwhile, the United States, while claiming to strongly support Lebanon’s sovereignty, makes no mention of the daily violations of Lebanese sovereignty by Israeli warplanes.

Despite Hezbollah’s defensive actions in response to repeated ceasefire violations and airspace breaches, the U.S. State Department paradoxically accuses the resistance of ignoring government calls to halt operations—a stance that reflects a prioritization of the occupier’s security over Lebanon’s sovereignty and national defense.
