Saed News: Reports indicate that the “status of the Strait of Hormuz” will not return to its pre-war condition.
According to SAEDNEWS, unofficial reports regarding the details of a “potential” preliminary understanding between Iran and the United States suggest that if this memorandum is agreed upon, the “status of the Strait of Hormuz” will not return to its pre-war state.
Despite claims by some Western media that the situation of the Strait of Hormuz would return to its pre-war condition within 30 days, what is included in the potential agreement is not a full return to the previous status, but rather the restoration of the “number of passing ships” to pre-war levels within 30 days.
Accordingly, Iran emphasizes exercising its sovereign rights over the Strait of Hormuz through various means, the details of which will be announced later.
Furthermore, the naval blockade is also expected to be fully lifted within 30 days according to the understanding. If the blockade is not lifted, no changes will be made in the Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, any changes in maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz are conditional upon the implementation of other U.S. commitments outlined in the memorandum.
