Trump’s Global Reputation Tarnished: New The Wall Street Journal Findings on Iran’s Massive Missile Cities That Remain Untouched

According to the political service of Saed News Agency, The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran may still retain considerable ballistic missile capability despite suffering heavy wartime damage. This assessment is based on recent intelligence evaluations cited by U.S. officials and published by the newspaper.

While recent conflicts are reported to have destroyed or disabled about half of the country’s missile launchers, many of these systems have not been permanently eliminated.

Officials familiar with the assessment say that a large number of launchers remain buried within Iran’s extensive underground military infrastructure.

Although some of them are currently trapped under rubble or damaged, they could be repaired and brought back into operation if necessary. This suggests that Iran has the ability to restore parts of its missile launch capacity faster than previously assumed.

Even with a reduced arsenal, estimates indicate that Tehran still possesses thousands of short- and medium-range ballistic missiles. Many of these missiles are believed to be stored in underground facilities and can be redeployed when needed.

While the joint U.S. and Israeli campaign has reportedly weakened Iran’s solid-fuel missile engine production by up to 80 percent, the Iranian military still maintains a substantial arsenal. Intelligence estimates suggest that although around 50 percent of Iran’s missile launchers have been destroyed or are trapped under debris, thousands of missiles remain intact.

During the Iran conflict, the regime reportedly fired more than 650 ballistic missiles toward Israel and also deployed hundreds of drones and additional missiles against other countries in the Middle East region.
