Mushrooms: 300 g
All-purpose flour: 4 tablespoons
Breadcrumbs: 1 cup
Eggs: 2
Salt: as needed
Oregano: 1 teaspoon
Paprika: 1 teaspoon
Black pepper: ½ teaspoon
Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
Onion powder: ½ teaspoon

Choose firm mushrooms for the best texture. Clean them quickly, remove the skins if needed, and rinse very briefly. Dry them immediately. Trim long stems if necessary.
Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a little salt, and whisk until the yolk and white are fully combined.
Mix flour with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and paprika.
Roll the mushrooms well in the seasoned flour until fully covered.
Dip the floured mushrooms into the beaten eggs. For a crispier coating, you can repeat the process: flour → egg → flour again.
Coat the mushrooms thoroughly in breadcrumbs and set aside.
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the mushrooms until golden and crispy.
Place fried mushrooms on paper towels to absorb extra oil.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Mix breadcrumbs with grated pizza cheese and coat the mushrooms before frying for a cheesy version.
Marinate mushrooms in a mixture of yogurt, saffron, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for 30–60 minutes before coating them in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
Remove stems and fill mushrooms with cheese, then coat and fry as usual.
To reduce oil:
Preheat oven to 200°C
Arrange coated mushrooms on a baking tray
Lightly spray or brush with oil
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden
For air fryer:
Cook at 200°C for 12–15 minutes
Flip halfway through
Lightly oil for extra crispiness

Tartare sauce (mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, herbs)
Mustard sauce (sweet and tangy flavor)
Garlic sauce (mayonnaise, garlic, yogurt)
Spicy ketchup
Dry mushrooms well before coating to ensure crispiness
Use frying oil with high heat tolerance
Do not overcrowd the pan while frying
Enjoy your homemade crispy fried mushrooms!
