The entirely metal Eiffel Tower is located in the city of Paris, northwest of the Champ de Mars Park, and hosts many visitors every day. When the company of Gustave Eiffel built Paris’s most famous structure for the 1889 World’s Fair (Exposition Universelle) and the centennial of the French Revolution, many people viewed this massive iron monument with doubt and skepticism.
