SAEDNEWS: Tuscan Creamy Chicken: A Delicious Italian-American Favorite with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Fresh Spinach, and Parmesan Cream Sauce
According to Saednews, Creamy Tuscan chicken is inspired by the cuisine of Tuscany, Italy. It combines tender chicken with a creamy sauce, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh vegetables. This delicious dish is also visually appealing, making it an excellent choice for parties and family gatherings.
This recipe serves four people.
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts: 4 (about 800 g)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper: to taste
All-purpose flour: 3 tablespoons
Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
Butter: 2 tablespoons
Fresh garlic: 4 cloves, minced or grated
Sun-dried tomatoes: ½ cup, chopped
Chicken broth: 1 cup
Heavy cream or cooking cream: 1 cup (about 240 ml)
Grated Parmesan cheese: ½ cup
Fresh spinach: 2 cups
Italian seasoning: 1 teaspoon
Paprika: ½ teaspoon
Fresh basil or parsley: for garnish
Sliced mushrooms: 1 cup
Red pepper flakes: ½ teaspoon
Onion: 1 small, finely diced
Mozzarella cheese: for topping

First, pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels. Slice them horizontally or pound them with a meat mallet until they are about 1–1.5 cm thick. This helps the chicken cook more quickly and evenly.
Season both sides of the chicken with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Then coat the chicken in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess. This thin coating helps the chicken turn golden brown and thickens the sauce.
Heat the olive oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place the chicken in the pan and sear for about 5–6 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
The chicken does not need to be fully cooked at this stage, as it will finish cooking in the creamy sauce.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate. Do not clean the pan, as the remaining fat and browned bits will add flavor to the sauce.
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can make the dish taste bitter.
Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for one minute. Pour in the chicken broth, using a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits stuck to the bottom of the pan. Let the broth simmer for 3–4 minutes to reduce slightly.
Add the cream and reduce the heat to low. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts completely. The sauce should become thick, smooth, and velvety.
Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet. Let them simmer gently in the creamy sauce for 5–7 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chicken so that each piece is well coated.
Finally, add the fresh spinach and stir until wilted, which should take about 1–2 minutes.
If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little chicken broth or milk to thin it out. Taste the sauce and adjust the salt and pepper as needed. Make sure the chicken reaches a safe internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
Serve the creamy Tuscan chicken immediately. It pairs beautifully with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, garlic bread, or a green salad.
For a restaurant-style presentation, garnish with freshly chopped basil and a little extra grated Parmesan cheese.

Creamy Tuscan chicken is rich and flavorful enough to be served as a complete main course. However, choosing the right side dishes can make the meal even more enjoyable.
Pasta is one of the most popular accompaniments for this dish. Ribbon-shaped varieties such as fettuccine and tagliatelle, as well as linguine, work particularly well because the creamy sauce clings to them.
Cook the pasta until al dente, then toss it with the sauce in the skillet so the flavors combine.
Plain white rice or vegetable rice is another excellent option. The rice absorbs the creamy sauce, creating a satisfying and filling meal.
Garlic bread, toasted bread, or fresh homemade bread is perfect for soaking up any remaining sauce on the plate. This style of serving is also common in Italian restaurants.
