According to Saednews, Welcoming thousands of visitors every day, the Strasbourg Grand Mosque has become a major attraction in France’s tourism industry.
According to ISNA, the Strasbourg Grand Mosque in France, which was built several years ago and has recently undergone an expansion project, has emerged as an increasingly popular tourist destination in recent years.
According to The Guardian, the mosque welcomes visitors every day who come not only to admire its architecture but also to ask the mosque’s Moroccan-born Imam a wide range of questions, including why Muslims fast and how Islamic history differs from Christian history by several centuries.

Located in France’s seventh-largest city, the Strasbourg Grand Mosque features distinctive architecture. Its expansion project, estimated to cost €14 million, began some time ago.
Designed by an Italian architect, the mosque features Quranic inscriptions throughout its interior and a copper dome approximately 24 metres high. Its prayer hall is uniquely designed without any supporting columns.
The mosque can accommodate up to 1,500 worshippers. Various religious ceremonies and events are held there throughout the year in both French and Arabic.
Experts predict that, given the significant Muslim population in France, the mosque could become one of the country’s leading tourist destinations in the coming years, attracting both domestic and international visitors, Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
France, whose largest numbers of tourists come from three European countries—the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands—has consistently ranked as the world’s leading tourist destination according to the World Tourism Organization. A significant proportion of the country’s workforce is also employed in tourism and related industries.
