SAEDNEWS: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has strongly condemned the German foreign minister’s remarks defending US and Israeli military aggression against Iran, accusing him of acting as an apologist for some of the gravest war crimes by endorsing the attacks.
According to Saednews, In a post on his X account, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz had previously enthusiastically described Israel’s attack on Iran as “doing our dirty work.” However, just a few months later, Merz is now lamenting that the war is costing the European economy €100 billion.
Baghaei added that Germany’s foreign minister is also attempting to justify the military assault on Iran. He accused German leaders of demonstrating profound moral indifference and a lack of judgment by failing to acknowledge the human casualties and alleged war crimes, while also overlooking the economic damage inflicted on Germany and Europe.
“From harm one becomes wise,” says a German proverb. Yet, Baghaei remarked, Hans Guck-in-die-Luft (a reference to someone who is absent-minded or oblivious) appears incapable of learning from experience.
