Saed News: A group of survivors of sexual abuse linked to the “Jeffrey Epstein” case has accused a senior judicial official in the Trump administration of providing false information.
According to SAEDNEWS, a group of survivors of sexual abuse related to the “Jeffrey Epstein” case has accused a senior judicial official in the Trump administration of providing false information during a congressional hearing, an issue that has once again brought the controversial Epstein case back to the center of U.S. news.
According to reports, “Todd Blanche,” the acting Attorney General in the Trump administration, claimed during a May 19 hearing in the U.S. Senate that he, along with former Attorney General “Pam Bondi,” had met with a large number of survivors and their lawyers. However, hours later, more than 18 survivors, including “Annie Farmer,” issued a joint statement saying they had never met Blanche or Bondi and that their previous requests for meetings had gone unanswered.
The statement triggered a new wave of criticism against the U.S. Department of Justice. Democratic Congressman “Daniel Goldman” accused Blanche of being “more attentive to Ghislaine Maxwell” instead of focusing on victims, describing the behavior as part of a “cover-up” in the Epstein case.
Blanche had previously spoken with “Ghislaine Maxwell,” Epstein’s main accomplice, in prison. Following that meeting, Maxwell was transferred from a higher-security facility to a lower-security prison in Texas. She is currently serving a 20-year sentence.
The acting U.S. Attorney General responded to the criticism by stating that the Department of Justice would not recommend a pardon for Maxwell, but survivors remain concerned that the investigation into Epstein’s full network of associates is not being seriously pursued.
In a joint statement, the survivors said: “It is the responsibility of the Department of Justice to conduct investigations, not for us to repeatedly report everything again and again.”
This latest controversy is part of long-standing tensions surrounding the Epstein case, which in recent years has repeatedly made headlines due to the release of confidential documents, debates over victim privacy, and allegations of a lack of transparency regarding powerful individuals connected to Epstein. The U.S. Department of Justice has not yet issued an official response to the survivors’ statement.
