Saed News: New reports from Hebrew-language media indicate a deepening rift between the Israeli Prime Minister and the U.S. President over the Iran file, an escalation that, according to Hebrew sources, has left the Israeli Prime Minister concerned about the progress of a potential agreement between Tehran and Washington.
According to SAEDNEWS, amid growing speculation about a possible new Iran–U.S. deal, Hebrew media outlets report increasing tensions between Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump regarding how to handle the Iran dossier.
Israel’s Channel 13, citing informed sources, reported that Netanyahu, in closed cabinet meetings, expressed concern over the negotiations between Tehran and Washington, admitting that Israel currently lacks sufficient “room for maneuver to influence Trump’s decisions.”
According to these sources, Netanyahu’s remarks reflect growing concern in Tel Aviv over the U.S. president’s approach toward Iran, which appears to differ from the expectations and calculations of Netanyahu’s cabinet.
The report adds that Israel’s security cabinet has held multiple meetings in recent days, while security agencies remain on high alert. The main concern in Tel Aviv is that a potential agreement between Washington and Tehran could strengthen Iran’s regional position and alter the security balance desired by Israel.
Meanwhile, Israeli political efforts in Washington to influence the negotiations are ongoing, and it is reported that Ron Dermer, a former minister and close ally of Netanyahu, has been tasked with leading these lobbying efforts.
Channel 13 also reported that several figures close to Trump, including special envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential adviser Jared Kushner, are pressuring him to accelerate the agreement process.
Israeli analysts believe the current differences indicate that, unlike in previous periods, Tel Aviv no longer has the same level of confidence in full alignment with Washington regarding Iran—an issue that could become one of the most serious points of tension between Netanyahu and Trump in the coming months.
