Google's Screen Time Reminders feature helps prevent users from wasting time on apps.

Lost in Your Phone? Android Has You Covered

According to Saed News' Science and Technology section, 9to5Google reports that Google has introduced the Screen Time Reminders feature as part of its Digital Wellbeing tools for Pixel and other Android devices. This feature alerts users when they've spent too much time on a specific app.

Helping Users Regain Control Over Screen Time

As reported by Zoomit, Google's Screen Time Reminders are designed to help users avoid getting too absorbed in an app and better manage their time. The reminder pops up even if the user hasn't set any screen time limits.

This new feature displays a small pop-up notification at the top of the screen after a set period. It appears that the reminder shows up after 25 minutes on Instagram and after 15 minutes on certain other apps.

Google has stated that there is no limit on how often these reminders appear. However, users can disable the feature for specific apps if they choose.

Customizing Your Experience

Turning off pop-up reminders for certain apps allows users to watch videos or play games uninterrupted. Once Screen Time Reminders is enabled, it applies automatically to all apps on the device.

Users can tap on the pop-up notification to disable reminders for a specific app. In addition to Pixel phones, OnePlus, Oppo, and Nothing device users can also benefit from Google's Digital Wellbeing tools.
