SAEDNEWS: Researchers Find Personality Traits Influence Having More Children

These Men and Women Are Having More Children!

According to Saednews, Researchers at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia stated that men who possess a range of personality traits such as emotionality, extraversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness tend to have more children.

Throughout history, competition has been a major factor in the success of both men and women, contributing to achievements in careers, sports, arts, the ability to acquire and secure resources, and ultimately their survival. Recent study findings suggest that personality traits may also influence having more children.

In this study, participants answered a wide range of social and demographic questions. They also completed the Big Five personality model (BIG 5) assessment. A total of 3,000 men and 1,500 women were included in the research.

Experts identified key personality differences between the two sexes and their relationship with having more children.

This test is designed to measure personality variables, and according to this model, personality consists of five dimensions: neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, openness to experience, and conscientiousness.

However, there is still limited information about the advantages or disadvantages of personality traits in relation to having more children, and science does not yet fully understand how personality and behavioral traits are connected to reproduction.

Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, and Responsibility

The results showed that a combination of certain traits in men is associated with having more children, including extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and a sense of responsibility. Additionally, among Big Five traits, extraversion in men was linked to a higher number of children, while in women, only higher agreeableness was associated with having more children.

However, the findings regarding women require further analysis.

This study was published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences.
