SAEDNEWS: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says the Islamic Republic will “fight whenever necessary and negotiate wherever it is needed,” describing the approach as a core mission assigned to the country’s diplomats and officials.
According to Saednews, Abbas Araghchi said that Iran’s diplomatic efforts move in complete coordination with the country’s broader system and national objectives. He made the remarks during a Wednesday ceremony in Tehran honoring two former foreign ministers, Kamal Kharrazi and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who lost their lives in separate incidents.
Araghchi reflected on memories of the late ministers and praised both their professionalism and personal integrity.
He stated that whenever the interests of the Islamic Republic require engagement in diplomacy, dialogue, or negotiations, Iran will participate with the same determination shown by the country’s armed forces in defending the nation.
The foreign minister also thanked the staff of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, including diplomats and personnel serving both inside and outside the country, especially during the recent conflict and the difficult period following the ceasefire.
According to Araghchi, even American officials acknowledged Iran’s success in the arena of public diplomacy. He said Iranian embassies abroad performed strongly in international media outreach and diplomatic communication.
Araghchi additionally praised the Iranian people for their strong public presence in cities across the country, describing it as an important show of support for Iran’s defense, military, and diplomatic institutions.
He emphasized that the “battlefield, diplomacy, and media” have long functioned together as interconnected pillars. During the recent conflict, he added, a fourth element emerged — the visible presence and support of the public in the streets.
