Supercomputer Predicted The World Cup Champion

According to SAEDNEWS, the Opta supercomputer gives Spain a 16.1% chance of winning the tournament, the highest among all participating teams.

Based on this comprehensive statistical analysis, Spain is identified as the main favorite for the title. Under Luis de la Fuente, La Roja tops the list of contenders with victory in 16.1% of the simulated scenarios.

France ranks second in the prediction, with Kylian Mbappé and his teammates holding a 13% chance of winning. England and defending champion Argentina follow closely behind, each winning the title in more than 10% of the simulations.

These top four teams are significantly ahead of the rest of the field, suggesting that both historical weight and current squad strength place them in a dominant position in statistical forecasts.

Portugal ranks fifth in this list, while Brazil and Germany—traditional World Cup powerhouses—are surprisingly placed sixth and seventh. The Netherlands comes in eighth.

Far below these rankings, the model predicts very poor chances for the host nations, estimating that it is “highly unlikely” for the United States, Mexico, or Canada to win the trophy at home.
