SAEDNEWS: The Strange Life of an Australian Man Who Experienced Death Multiple Times
According to a news report from Saed News and the Young Journalists Club web group, one of the rare things we almost never hear about in real life is someone dying once or twice and then returning to life again. What would you think of a person whose heart has stopped nine times, yet each time he has been revived and survived?
Jamie Paul, a man born on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and now living in London, suffers from this unusual condition. Since the age of twenty, his heart has stopped nine times, placing him repeatedly at the brink of death. Jamie suffers from a heart disease known as dilated cardiomyopathy, which doctors consider potentially fatal and estimate may leave him with only about five years to live.
Jamie was diagnosed with this serious condition from birth—a health problem in which part of the heart muscle becomes enlarged, preventing the heart from pumping blood properly throughout the body. This often leads to life-threatening complications. Although one in five people may be affected by this condition, many can still live relatively normal lives; however, Jamie’s case is far more complex and dangerous.
Despite his critical condition, his life is not without humor. For example, his mother regularly asks him, “Did you die this week?” and he laughs and replies, “No, I didn’t die this week.”

Paul, who works as an innovative technology specialist, experienced his first major cardiac episode at the age of twenty. It took 45 minutes to revive him, and after a week in a coma, he regained consciousness. Throughout his life, he has suffered nine severe heart attacks, the most recent occurring while he was in hospital.
Because of his fragile health, Jamie must take extreme daily precautions, especially when moving around. He is forced to move slowly and avoid running or any activity that could increase his heart rate.
Despite his critical condition, Jamie is determined to live a normal life and not let his illness prevent him from enjoying life. He is also considering a heart transplant, as doctors are unsure how long his current heart will continue to function.
