SAEDNEWS: Nutrition specialists advise avoiding the combination of milk with foods such as bananas, noting that it may disrupt digestion and reduce nutritional benefits.
According to Saed News, citing Behdasht News, the combination of milk and banana is a favorite among many people. Banana milk is widely consumed as a refreshing snack and for its perceived health benefits. However, despite its delicious taste, some experts believe this mixture may not be suitable for the body at all.
Whether combining milk and banana is beneficial or harmful has long been a topic of debate among nutrition specialists.
Harish Kumar, an Indian nutrition expert, states: “I do not recommend consuming milk and banana together under any circumstances, as this combination can be harmful to the body. Even if you plan to consume them separately, you should drink milk first and then eat a banana at least 20 minutes later.”
He explains that combining milk and banana may slow down the digestive process and lead to sleep disturbances.
Research cited by some experts suggests that eating banana milk can contribute to the production of toxins in the body. It may also worsen sinus congestion, colds, coughs, and allergies. Although both milk and bananas taste sweet, they behave very differently during digestion.
According to this perspective, bananas become acidic after digestion in the stomach, while milk remains sweet. This difference can confuse the digestive system and potentially lead to toxin buildup, allergic reactions, and other issues caused by incompatible food combinations.
Some Indian specialists argue that milk and banana form an incompatible combination that may disrupt nutritional balance. This imbalance could slow digestion and interfere with the function of beneficial gut bacteria.
As a result, it may contribute to skin problems such as acne or allergic reactions. Other reported negative reactions after consuming banana milk include blockage in bodily channels, heart-related issues, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Experts advise against consuming these two foods together. Many people enjoy blending fruits with milk without considering their properties. While each food offers individual health benefits, their combination may not be suitable for everyone. It is recommended to consult a nutrition specialist before regularly combining certain foods.
