SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that reopening the Strait of Hormuz and resuming indirect negotiations with the United States depend on Washington accepting Tehran’s clearly defined conditions. He stressed that Iran will not give in to pressure or be misled by deception.
According to Saednews, During his visit to Turkmenistan on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said diplomatic consultations have intensified amid sensitive regional circumstances, with Qatar and Pakistan actively involved in mediation efforts.
He stated that Iran has already submitted its conditions and proposal, stressing that the next step depends on Washington’s political judgment and willingness to act rationally.
Araqchi said Tehran remains prepared to pursue diplomacy if the United States is genuinely committed to a diplomatic solution. However, he warned that any attempt by Washington to deceive Iran or launch military operations would be met with a response “more bitter and severe than before.”
Addressing the Strait of Hormuz, Araqchi said Iran’s conditions for reopening the strategic waterway are clear and transparent. He explained that accepting these conditions would pave the way for reopening the strait and resuming negotiations, while failure to do so would leave the current situation unchanged.
He also reaffirmed that Iran would neither yield to external pressure nor retreat from its position.
Commenting on the visit of the deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council to Beijing, Araqchi described the discussions as part of Tehran’s continued strategic consultations with key international partners.
He added that the talks focused on major regional developments, security concerns, and issues concerning peace and the possibility of war.
