SAEDNEWS: Reconstruction of Queen Ti, Wife of Amenhotep III, Made Possible with Advanced Technologies
According to Saed News citing ILNA, today the science of facial reconstruction and the use of modern technology to recreate the faces of ancient figures is increasingly common. In some cases, forensic experts and police specialists are also consulted. For instance, in the project to authenticate and reconstruct the face of Queen Nefertiti, the expertise of an FBI specialist was utilized.
Currently, researchers have successfully reconstructed the face of Queen Tiye, wife of Amenhotep III and mother of Akhenaten, one of Egypt’s most famous pharaohs, using advanced technology.

According to available data, Queen Tiye (Tiy) married Amenhotep before he became king. By 1385 BCE, when Amenhotep ascended to the throne, they had six children, among whom Akhenaten later became pharaoh. Amenhotep paid special attention to Tiye, building several temples in her name. He also provided a palace and an artificial lake for his wife.
In 1898, Victor Loret discovered, alongside the mummy of Amenhotep III, the mummy of a woman believed to be Tiye.
