SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation, speeding up joint projects, and making better use of existing capabilities to strengthen economic ties and regional relations.

According to Saednews, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met on Friday on the sidelines of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and a summit on the Caspian Sea environment in Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the latest developments in Tehran-Baku relations and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining friendly and good-neighborly ties.

They emphasized the importance of making better use of existing capacities to expand cooperation in various sectors, calling for the accelerated implementation of previously signed agreements and the completion of ongoing joint projects.

The discussions also addressed ways to strengthen economic and trade relations, enhance transit cooperation, and deepen regional engagement.

Both presidents highlighted the importance of continued consultations and constructive dialogue between their officials to promote shared interests and further strengthen bilateral relations.
