SAEDNEWS: The presidents of Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan called for enhanced trilateral cooperation, stronger economic and trade relations, and greater regional coordination, especially among Caspian Sea littoral states.

According to Saednews, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met on Friday on the sidelines of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and a Caspian Sea environmental summit in Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the three leaders reviewed issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen bilateral and trilateral ties while expanding cooperation in areas of common concern.

They highlighted opportunities to enhance economic and trade relations, deepen regional engagement, and make more effective use of existing resources and capabilities.

The discussions also covered cooperation among Caspian littoral states and broader regional developments, with the presidents stressing the importance of closer coordination to promote shared interests.
