SAEDNEWS: IRGC Navy Issues Fresh Warning to Ships Attempting to Cross Restricted Waters Near Strait of Hormuz
According to Saednews, In a social media post on Friday, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy warned that any vessel navigating an unauthorized route through the strait would be pursued across the region and face penalties.
The warning came after the navy reported an explosion aboard a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vessel on Friday morning as it attempted to pass through the unauthorized route.
The IRGC accused the US military of heightening maritime tensions by misleading shipping and insurance companies and compelling vessels to sail without coordination with the Persian Gulf Strait Authority.
