SAEDNEWS: Foreign Minister Says Diplomacy Preferred, Reaching Agreement on Iran’s Peaceful Nuclear Program Possible

Araghchi’s Warning to the U.S. Backed by the Large 22 Bahman Rally: Honor Is Not for Sale

According to the political news service of Saed News, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi commented on the message behind the millions of people participating in the February 11 rally: “Millions of Iranians took to the streets on Wednesday to celebrate the 47th anniversary of what researchers call ‘the last great revolution of the 20th century.’”

He added: “In the decades following the Islamic Revolution, particularly in the past 12 months, many significant events have occurred. In just the past year, our people faced an unprecedented attack from two nuclear-armed regimes, followed by a large-scale terrorist operation. Nevertheless, the Islamic Republic of Iran has remained steadfast.”

The head of diplomacy emphasized: “This resilience is rooted in our reliance on our own people, not foreign regimes.”

Araqchi wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “I sincerely hope the coming year will be a year of peace and tranquility, and that dialogue will prevail over war.”

He noted: “Diplomacy is our priority, and reaching an agreement on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program is possible—but only if it is fair and balanced. Along this path, Iran will defend its sovereignty at any cost.”

The foreign minister concluded: “As millions of Iranians demonstrated once again today, our rights, dignity, and honor are non-negotiable.”

On Friday, February 5, Muscat hosted indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the United States, mediated by the Omani foreign minister. Araqchi described the talks as a promising start upon their conclusion.

Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, who traveled to Muscat on Tuesday and Doha on Wednesday, commented on the next round of Iran-U.S. nuclear talks, stating that the timing has not yet been determined. He added: “The parties are willing for negotiations to continue. Consultations in the capitals must take place to ensure productive outcomes, and, God willing, progress will be made.”
