Serious Warning from Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary to the U.S. in Interview with Al Jazeera

According to the political desk of Saed News Agency, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that negotiations are solely focused on the nuclear issue and that no discussions will take place regarding any other پرونده beyond the nuclear file.

Responding to a question from Al Jazeera, Larijani said that Iran has not received any specific proposal from Washington, adding that what took place in Oman was merely an exchange of messages.

He continued by noting that negotiations with Washington are ongoing and that regional countries are making efforts to ensure the success of the talks. He described Iran’s position on the matter as positive.

Larijani further emphasized that Washington has turned to pursuing a different approach toward Iran, one other than the military option. He added that by entering negotiations, the United States has chosen a rational and logical path.

Reiterating that Iran is not seeking nuclear weapons, Larijani addressed the issue of reducing uranium enrichment to zero, stressing that there has been no discussion of halting enrichment entirely. He explained that Iran requires enrichment for energy production and medical purposes.

He also pointed to what he described as the negative and war-provoking role of the Israeli regime regarding the nuclear negotiations, stating that Israel is attempting to undermine the negotiation process and is seeking pretexts to ignite conflict.

Larijani warned that Israel is not only pursuing plans against Iran but is also targeting the stability of the entire region.

He further cautioned about the consequences of any potential military adventurism against Iran, stating that if the United States were to attack Iran, Iranian forces would target U.S. military bases in the region.

Larijani concluded by praising Qatar’s role, saying that the country has played a positive role in mediation efforts. He also emphasized that no one granted Iran nuclear technology; rather, the country achieved it through reliance on its own domestic knowledge and capabilities.
