According to Saednews, The United Arab Emirates has agreed to unlock billions of dollars in funds belonging to Iran, according to four sources.
The move, which had not been previously reported, comes alongside the final stages of broader negotiations between Tehran and Washington aimed at ending the conflict. According to diplomats, the talks may include the release of tens of billions of dollars in Iranian oil revenues that have been frozen in foreign banks under US sanctions.
Two regional sources said the UAE has agreed to release a total of $10 billion, with more than $3 billion already transferred. Two other sources familiar with the arrangement put the total figure at around $20 billion, stating that the deal was reached in exchange for Iran halting attacks on the UAE.
One of the sources also confirmed that an initial tranche of $3 billion has already been made available.
