According to Saed News Tourism Service, Chalak Village is located in Nowshahr County, approximately 9 kilometers east of Nowshahr on the road toward Royan. The distance from Tehran to Chalak is about 170 kilometers.
The village of Mazgah lies to the west of Chalak, while Kohnesara borders it on the eastern side. Chalak is located approximately 20 kilometers from the entrance of the Tehran–North Freeway and the Kandovan Road, and about 75 kilometers from the Haraz Road. One of the most important advantages of Chalak is its easy and relatively traffic-free access from both the Chalus Road and the Haraz Road.
The village has a native population of around 1,300 residents (297 households) and more than 3,500 non-native residents and seasonal homeowners.
Many people believe that Chalak’s popularity comes from its extraordinary scenery, where mountains, forests, and the Caspian Sea can all be viewed within a short distance of one another. This unique combination certainly contributes to the village’s appeal.
However, neighboring villages also enjoy similar natural beauty but have not achieved the same level of recognition. Based on years of experience and feedback from residents and visitors, Chalak’s popularity extends beyond its landscapes.
Over time, the local community has developed a welcoming attitude toward newcomers and non-native residents. Village authorities, including the local council and village administration, have also worked to create a secure and investment-friendly environment. These efforts have attracted numerous investors and homeowners. The fact that the number of non-native residents and investors is nearly three times greater than the native population reflects the village’s success as a desirable destination.
Manzar Darya is considered the most prestigious and expensive township in Chalak. It is located on Jomhouri Street, adjacent to the forest zone.
One of the township’s most remarkable features is its breathtaking sea view. Due to its elevated position on the forested hillside, residents can enjoy panoramic views of the Caspian Sea even from ground level.
