Mazda Coupe Vision X: A Futuristic Masterpiece of Modern Creativity

According to the technology desk of Saed News, the Japan Mobility Show is one of the most important automotive events of the year, where companies showcase their latest models and future concept designs. Mazda unveiled two new concept cars at the exhibition, including the Mazda Vision X Coupe, a vehicle that, with its distinctive design, borders on the luxury car segment.

The Mazda Vision X Coupe is a four-door hatchback coupe with generous proportions. It measures 5.05 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and 1.48 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 3.08 meters.

According to Mazda, the Vision X Coupe concept car features deliberately sculpted lines that create a smooth, minimalist appearance without relying on extra protrusions. At the front, there is no traditional grille; instead, two slanted light elements subtly point toward the headlights. The headlights themselves are narrow and low, with a distinctive design highlighted by three light sources in each unit.

From the side, the Vision X Coupe combines its sleek body design with narrow windows and aerodynamic wheels. This model eliminates conventional door handles and side mirrors, replacing them with small cameras. The doors feature an intriguing layout: wide front doors and narrow rear doors, reinforcing the car’s modern aesthetic.

The rear of the Vision X Coupe is strikingly dynamic. The roofline gently slopes down to a sharp-edged spoiler. The taillight design lowers the inner section below the narrow rear window, creating a unique look when combined with the underside of the spoiler.

Powering the Mazda Vision X Coupe is a plug-in hybrid system that integrates a two-rotor rotary engine, a turbocharger, an electric motor, and a battery. The system produces 375 kW (510 horsepower), with an expected electric driving range of 160 kilometers. Using CO₂-neutral fuel, the car actively contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
