According to SAEDNEWS, The Iranian U20 Greco-Roman wrestling team has emerged victorious at the world championships held in Pontevedra, Spain. The team clinched the title by securing four gold medals, one silver, and one bronze.
The gold medals for Iran were won by Ali Ahmadi Wafa in the 55 kg category, Mohammad Mehdi Gholampour in the 60 kg category, Ahmadreza Mohsennejad in the 67 kg category, and Alireza Abdevali in the 77 kg category. In addition, Abolfazl Fathi Tzangi earned a silver medal in the 130 kg category, while Erfan Jarkani brought home a bronze medal in the 63 kg category.
This championship victory marks Iran's fifth consecutive title in the U20 world championships, showcasing the country's strength in Greco-Roman wrestling.
