SAEDNEWS: Velam Village is a nearly 500-year-old mountain village in Behshahr, Mazandaran Province, known for its traditional architecture, historic neighborhoods, agriculture, and livestock farming.
According to Saednews, Velem is a mountainous village in Behshahr County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. It is located 83 kilometers from Sari, the provincial capital, 36 kilometers from Behshahr, and 50 kilometers from Galugah. The village is part of the Panj Hezar Rural District.
This small village dates back approximately 500 years. Its traditional architecture is distinctive, with houses built relatively close to one another and only limited separation between them.
Velem is divided into three main sections: Seyyed Mahalleh, where all residents are Seyyeds and are considered descendants of Seyyed Hassan Hosseini; Bala Mahalleh, located in the northeastern and southeastern parts of the village; and Pain Mahalleh, situated in the northwestern part of the area.

Most of the land surrounding the village is used for agriculture. The main crops grown in Velem include wheat, millet, and broad beans.
