SAEDNEWS: Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi expressed Iran’s readiness to assist in reducing tensions and resolving differences between Pakistan and Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for continued dialogue and regional cooperation to promote stability.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi held a telephone conversation with Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, during which the two officials reviewed the latest developments in bilateral relations as well as regional and international matters.

Araqchi highlighted the long-standing and friendly ties between the two neighboring Muslim countries and emphasized Iran’s determination to expand cooperation across various fields.

Expressing concern over the current situation between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Araqchi stressed the importance of continued dialogue between the two sides, with the support of influential regional countries, to help resolve differences and reduce tensions. He reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to provide any necessary assistance to achieve this goal.

In response, Ishaq Dar outlined the latest developments and the outcomes of recent negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, underlining the significance of maintaining peace and stability in the region.

Both officials agreed to continue consultations on a range of issues.
