SAEDNEWS: Iran reaffirmed support for Palestinians on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, calling their plight “the deepest wound in human conscience” and urging global action to end Israeli occupation.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei wrote on X that Palestine continues to represent “the most universal cause for justice and solidarity.”
He described the Palestinian issue as both a global symbol of the pursuit of justice and a longstanding wound on humanity’s conscience.
Baqaei accused the “occupying apartheid regime” of acting with “full impunity granted by the United States and its allies.” He denounced the Zionist regime for pursuing a decades-long racist agenda that has resulted in mass killings and the displacement of Palestinians.
According to Baqaei, the regime has repeatedly violated a ceasefire agreement reached in early October with Gaza’s Hamas resistance movement, in what observers call a continuation of genocidal patterns.
He urged the international community to go beyond mere statements and fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by supporting “the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people to end occupation and secure their fundamental human right to self-determination.”
The comments coincide with global demonstrations, awareness campaigns, and calls for action by human rights activists and citizens seeking an end to the regime’s Western-backed occupation and aggression in Palestinian territories.
