According to SAEDNEWS, The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar convened on Monday afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran. The meeting features Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
The discussions are expected to focus on pressing regional issues of mutual interest, reflecting the ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two Gulf nations. In addition to their meeting, Sheikh Mohammed is also slated to meet with Iran's newly appointed president, Masoud Pezeshkian, further highlighting the importance of this visit.
Earlier in the week, Hamidreza Dehqani, a former Iranian ambassador, hinted at this important visit through a post on X, confirming that both the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar would be visiting Tehran on August 26.
