I’m Sorry! – Netanyahu Apologizes to the Emir of Qatar

According to Saed News’ political service and Channel 12, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was in the White House for a meeting with President Donald Trump, apologized by phone to Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani over Israel’s attack on Qatar on September 9.

The report states that Netanyahu spoke with Al Thani for several minutes from the White House, where he was hosted by Trump.

Netanyahu apologized for violating Qatar’s sovereignty during the strike on Doha and expressed regret over the death of a Qatari security guard in the incident.

The report adds that this apology plays a key role in ongoing efforts to finalize a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and secure the release of all prisoners. Since the Israeli attack—during which several senior Hamas leaders in Doha were targeted—Qatar had refrained from mediating negotiations with Hamas.
