This amazing village is located in East Azerbaijan Province, 65 km from Tabriz city and 18 km from Osku County, nestled in a valley alongside the Kandovan River. Interestingly, unlike the two other rock villages—one in Cappadocia, Turkey, and the second in Dakota, USA—Kandovan is still inhabited by people.
Situated at 2,200 meters above sea level, Kandovan is a mountainous summer village with cool weather even during summer.
