SAEDNEWS: Steam and gentle cleaning can loosen food splatters and make microwave cleaning quick and simple.
According to SAEDNEWS, cleaning the inside of a microwave does not have to take much time. A simple steam-cleaning method can soften dried food residue, making it easier to wipe away without aggressive scrubbing.
Prepare a microwave-safe bowl. Fill it with about one cup of water. You can add a few slices of lemon for a fresh scent, although plain water is sufficient for loosening residue.
Heat the water. Place the bowl inside the microwave and heat it until the water becomes hot and produces plenty of steam. The exact time depends on the microwave's power, so use a setting that brings the water to a strong simmer without allowing the bowl to boil dry.
Let the steam work. Keep the microwave door closed for several minutes after heating. The trapped steam helps soften dried splashes and greasy food particles on the walls and ceiling.
Wipe the surfaces. Carefully remove the bowl because it may be hot. Using a clean, damp cloth or sponge, wipe the interior surfaces, including the ceiling, walls, floor, and inside of the door.
Clean stubborn spots gently. If some residue remains, use a little mild dish soap on a damp cloth and wipe the area again. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or anything that could damage the microwave's interior.

Remove the glass turntable and wash it separately with warm water and mild dish soap. Wipe the area underneath it as well, since spilled food can collect around the turntable support. Dry the parts before putting them back in place.
For regular maintenance, wiping up spills soon after they occur can prevent food from drying onto the microwave surfaces. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning areas that should not come into contact with moisture, and never spray cleaning liquid directly into the microwave's openings or controls.
