As mentioned before, whether you are frying fish or preparing it without oil, even simple tricks can significantly improve the flavor of your dish.
Open the fish belly with a sharp knife, wash it well, then add a generous amount of salt. Massage the fish for about 10 minutes. After that, rinse it thoroughly so that no salt remains on the surface.
Spices such as coriander powder, ginger powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper give your dish an excellent flavor.
You can also marinate the fish with black pepper, red pepper, paprika, fresh lemon juice, and brewed saffron. Massage the fish well for about 5 minutes so the flavors are absorbed. The amount of saffron can be adjusted according to preference.

Garlic adds an excellent flavor to fish. Slice garlic and onion thinly and add them to the container. Cover it with plastic wrap or a lid so the flavors are fully absorbed into the fish.
It is better to season the fish several hours before cooking. Marination is very important, so give the fish enough time to fully absorb the flavors.
For making crispy fried fish, it is better to use breadcrumbs. If breadcrumbs are not available, you can use crushed dry toast mixed with spices. Before frying, coat the fish in breadcrumbs and then fry it.
To fry fish in a pan, first add enough oil and heat it well. Then gently place the fish in the pan. Let one side cook completely before turning it over to fry the other side.
To bake fish in the oven, first cover the dish with foil. Place the prepared fish on a baking tray and cook at 190°C for about 20 minutes.

After marinating, place the fish on the air fryer rack. Brush some saffron on top using a brush. Set the air fryer to 175°C for 20 minutes. After cooking, the fish will be golden and crispy on the outside and tender inside.
You can serve this delicious dish with herb rice, broad bean rice, or plain rice. For decoration, you can use pickled red cabbage, lemon slices, onion, and parsley.
