According to Saednews, Batata Harra is a famous Arabic appetizer known for its bold, spicy flavor. The name literally means “spicy potatoes.” It is simple to prepare and very flavorful.
3 medium potatoes
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon onion powder
½ teaspoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon sumac
Olive oil (as needed)
Paprika and turmeric (as needed)
Salt and black pepper (as needed)
Oregano and ground coriander (as needed)

Wash the potatoes thoroughly and place them unpeeled in a pot. Add enough water to cover them and boil over medium heat until fully cooked.
Once cooked, peel the potatoes and cut them into large cubes.
Peel the garlic cloves and finely grate or blend them into a paste.
In a bowl, mix the garlic paste with olive oil, red chili powder, paprika, black pepper, turmeric, oregano, onion powder, and sumac.
Add the mixture to the potatoes and toss well until they are fully coated with the seasoning.
Preheat the oven and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Spread the potatoes evenly on the tray and bake for about 15 minutes until slightly crispy.
Halfway through baking (after 7–8 minutes), remove the tray and turn the potatoes to ensure even browning.
If you do not have an oven, you can fry the potatoes in plenty of hot oil instead.
