SAEDNEWS: Facial reconstruction of Queen Tiye, wife of Amenhotep III, made possible using modern technologies.
According to Saed News, citing ILNA, the reconstruction of Queen Tiye, the wife of Amenhotep III, has been made possible using modern technologies. Today, the science of facial reconstruction and the use of advanced technologies in recreating the faces of ancient figures has become very common, and sometimes forensic medicine experts and even police specialists are involved. For example, in the project to verify the authenticity of a mummy and reconstruct the face of Queen Nefertiti, the expertise of an FBI specialist was utilized.

Researchers have now succeeded in reconstructing the face of Queen Tiye, the wife of Amenhotep III and the mother of Akhenaten, one of the most famous pharaohs of Egypt, using modern technology.
Based on available data, Queen Tiye (Tiy) married Amenhotep before he became king. By around 1385 BCE, when Amenhotep ascended to the throne, they already had six children, among whom Akhenaten later became pharaoh. Amenhotep showed special attention to Tiye, building several temples in her honor. He also constructed a palace and an artificial lake for his wife.
In 1898, Victor Loret discovered a female mummy next to the mummy of Amenhotep III, which is believed to be that of Tiye.
