SAEDNEWS: The Iranian military launched a seventh wave of drone strikes on Wednesday, targeting facilities associated with F-18 fighter aircraft and support infrastructure at al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, according to reports. The operation reportedly focused on military infrastructure at the U.S.-used base as regional tensions continue to escalate.
According to Saednews, The Iranian Army's public relations office said the strikes were part of “Operation Thunderbolt” and came after six previous waves of drone attacks targeting U.S. positions. According to the statement, the operations were launched following what it described as a U.S. violation of the ceasefire and the beginning of “brutal attacks” on Iranian territory.
The statement said that members of the Iranian armed forces would uphold the strategic message left by the late leader of the revolution. It referenced a warning that the “era of hit and run is over” and asserted that any action against Iran’s land, territorial waters, or airspace would receive a response and carry a proportional cost.
The Army added that military operations would continue until what it called a final victory.
