Iran’s Red Lines In Negotiations Have Been Determined

According to SAEDNEWS, Fars reported: At a time when regional developments and tensions between Iran and the United States have entered a new phase, the discussion about the possibility of negotiations and their conditions has gained more attention than ever.

In this regard, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari outlined the preconditions and red lines of the Islamic Republic of Iran for any possible negotiations.

What is your opinion on Trump’s tweet last night saying he was dissatisfied with Iran’s proposal?

First of all, Trump’s statements are not surprising at all. He and his criminal team have long been trapped in a swamp and quagmire they created for themselves, and they are sinking deeper day by day.

In such a situation, having failed to achieve his goals in war, he now wants to achieve them through negotiations; therefore, these tweets reflect their helplessness and failure against the power of the Iranian nation. Let him say whatever he wants; the Iranian people do not pay attention to such words.

What is your opinion on Iran’s response to the American side?

Iran’s response to the United States is based on five main preconditions, which are exactly the rightful and natural demands of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and until these preconditions are met, no negotiations will take place.

The Americans have for years proven through their deceit and breach of commitments that they do not adhere to any obligations. With this level of distrust toward the United States, it is natural that the negotiating team, under the guidance of the overall system, must define conditions that secure all Iran’s legitimate rights. These conditions are the minimum expectations of a powerful nation.

You mentioned that these conditions are the demand of the system. How do you see the role of the people in defining these red lines?

I clearly state that the main backbone of Iran’s positions is the presence and demand of the beloved Iranian people. Today, various groups of people with different tastes and appearances in different arenas and public gatherings unanimously demand that no retreat should be made in the face of the aggressive demands of the criminal U.S. government.

This popular demand is the greatest support for the negotiating team and all wise decisions of the system. Today, the people stand behind the system and do not allow any retreat.

Your final conclusion about these conditions?

General Jafari: In my view, the system’s decision in this sensitive situation is the same five fundamental preconditions for entering any possible negotiation. That is, until the war ends on all fronts, sanctions are lifted, frozen funds are released, war damages are compensated, and Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is recognized, no negotiation will take place. This is the demand of the people from the negotiating team and the message of the Iranian nation to the U.S. government.
