SAEDNEWS: It is not permissible to miss the congregational prayer out of disregard, and one should not abandon congregational prayer without a valid excuse.
According to Saednews, Deliberately abandoning congregational prayer out of indifference or neglecting one’s religious responsibility is not encouraged anywhere in Islamic teachings. Prayer is one of the pillars of Islam, and congregational prayer holds an important place in religious practice.
The Qur’an states:
“Establish prayer, give zakat, and bow with those who bow.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:43)
This verse is understood as an encouragement to perform prayer together with the congregation.

It is also reported from Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him):
“Whoever abandons the congregation in anything commanded by Allah, the Almighty, Allah will abandon him in this world and the Hereafter.”
Based on these teachings, Muslims are encouraged to participate in congregational prayer whenever possible. If circumstances prevent someone from joining the congregation, they should still perform the prayer individually rather than neglecting the prayer altogether.
Congregational prayer is therefore regarded as an important expression of religious commitment, discipline, and devotion, while personal circumstances may sometimes prevent participation in the congregation.
