Saed News: In this article, we review the fate and stories of 9 famous families that are considered exceptionally unlucky.
According to SAEDNEWS, and citing the Young Journalists Club web group, you may, like many others, not believe in curses—especially family curses—and only find them in stories such as Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Or perhaps you know unlucky families in your own city or have read about the Kennedy family.

We do not know what Joseph Kennedy did wrong that led his family to be “punished” over decades.
His daughter Rosemary Kennedy was intellectually disabled, but some doctors recommended a lobotomy due to her violent behavior. After the lobotomy, Rosemary lost her cognitive abilities, was hospitalized in an institution, and died decades later in 2005.
The eldest son, Joseph Jr., was killed in war in 1944, and his daughter Kathleen died in a plane crash in 1948. The second son, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in 1963, and later his brother Senator Robert Kennedy was also assassinated in 1968. In 1984, Robert Kennedy’s son David died from a cocaine overdose. Another son, Michael Kennedy, died in a skiing accident in 1997. In 1999, John F. Kennedy Jr., along with his wife and sister-in-law, died when their plane crashed into the ocean.

The Onassis family story can be considered a full Greek tragedy. Aristotle Onassis was one of the most famous and richest men in the world. In 1973, Alexander Onassis, his son, was killed in a plane crash. After her son’s death, Onassis’s wife committed suicide. Later, Aristotle Onassis himself died from a lung infection.
His daughter Christina then fell into a destructive lifestyle, wasted much of the family fortune, had four failed marriages, and struggled with weight issues. In 1988, at only 37 years old, she died due to a mixture of weight-loss medication and sleeping pills taken by mistake.

The marriage of Grace Kelly to Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956 looked like a fairy tale, but it was not a happy one.
In 1982, Grace died following a suspicious car accident. Her daughter Stephanie suffered emotional distress afterward and experienced many failed relationships. Caroline’s husband died in a speedboat accident in 1990. Five years later, the prince died. Caroline married for the third time, but her third husband also died from pancreatitis.

John Paul Getty, founder of Getty Oil Company, was named the richest man in America by Forbes in 1957. He married five times, and one of his five children died young.
Tragedy struck his son, John Paul Getty Jr. In 1971, his wife died from a drug overdose. In 1973, his son was kidnapped by the Italian mafia. The kidnappers cut off his ear and sent it to the family, demanding a ransom of $3.4 million. After the incident, the son suffered severe psychological trauma and became partially paralyzed after drug abuse. His sister was diagnosed with AIDS in 1984.

Honor Fraser, a former British model, is part of a well-known Scottish feudal family and the sister of Lord Lovat.
In 1995, the family attended three funerals. The first was for Andrew, the youngest son of the lord, who was killed by a buffalo in Tanzania. The second was for Simon, Andrew’s brother-in-law, who died of a heart attack while hunting. The third was for Lord Lovat himself.
The Osmond family is also considered unlucky. Virl and Tom, two of the brothers, were born deaf. One went bankrupt, another suffers from a brain tumor, and another has multiple sclerosis.
Donny Osmond, the most famous member, suffered from depression after career struggles. Their sister Marie attempted suicide once and was also a victim of abuse. Her son also committed suicide at age 18.

Bruce Lee, the famous martial arts actor, died at age 32 in 1973 after suffering a headache and taking a prescribed painkiller. He was allergic to the medication, went into a coma, and later died.
Twenty years later, his son Brandon Lee was accidentally killed during a film shoot when a prop gun—believed to be empty—fired a real bullet.

Oscar-winning actor Marlon Brando also had a troubled family history. His mother was alcoholic. His wife Anna Kashfi became addicted to drugs and alcohol after giving birth to their son Christian.
Christian later became addicted to drugs and in 1990 killed his half-sister’s boyfriend and was convicted of manslaughter, spending years in prison. His sister Cheyenne committed suicide in 1995. Christian himself died in 2008 from a lung infection.

Ernest Hemingway suffered from severe depression. At age 28, after his father shot himself, his writing career was disrupted. However, Hemingway overcame difficulties, won the Nobel and Pulitzer prizes, and became internationally famous.
In 1961, at age 62, he died by suicide using a shotgun. Five years later, his sister Ursula, suffering from depression and cancer, also committed suicide. Sixteen years later, his only brother Lister killed himself after learning he would need a leg amputation due to diabetes. In 1996, his granddaughter Margaux also committed suicide by overdose.
