According to SAEDNEWS, Speaking about the situation, Kallas emphasized that while the conflict does not directly involve Europe, its economic consequences—particularly disruptions in the oil and gas industry—could have significant effects on European economies.

She noted that instability in energy markets remains a major concern for European countries, which continue to rely heavily on global supply chains for energy resources.

Kallas also stressed that the European Union does not want the conflict to turn into a prolonged or endless war. According to her, the EU is not seeking further escalation and prefers diplomatic and stabilizing measures.

Regarding security in regional waters, she said the European Union is interested in strengthening its naval mission in the area, though she clarified that no immediate changes to current operations are planned.

Her remarks come amid growing concerns about the wider economic and geopolitical consequences of tensions in the Middle East, particularly for global energy markets and international trade routes.
