At the age of 97, Iris has long attracted the attention of fashion enthusiasts with her distinctive and unconventional style. Her fame has grown to such an extent that it even caught the attention of Barbie’s doll-making company.
For its latest doll, Barbie used the renowned fashion icon as inspiration and created a doll modeled after her.
Apfel herself unveiled the doll on her Instagram page. The doll is dressed in an embroidered Gucci pantsuit, adorned with several oversized necklaces, colorful bracelets, and Iris’s signature accessory—her large round eyeglasses.
