SAEDNEWS: The wedding of a young couple was ruined over a meal.
According to Saed News, citing Neshan News, a wedding in India fell apart because of a single dish. The groom and his family decided to call off the ceremony after their favorite dish was not included in the wedding menu, sparking widespread reactions among Indian citizens and online users.
But the story didn’t end there. Angered, the groom left the wedding venue and, on the way home, held a wedding ceremony with a female relative instead.
Local Indian media reported that the incident began when the groom arrived at the wedding venue with his entourage. Some family members requested that a traditional dish called mutton curry be served before lunch. Since the dish was not on the wedding menu, a verbal dispute broke out between the groom’s and bride’s families, leading the groom and his relatives to leave the celebration.
Before returning home, the groom visited one of his relatives’ houses and married a family member.
According to the report, the bride’s family has not filed any complaints against the groom with local authorities so far.
