How to Make Christmas Salmon

  1. Prepare the marinade: In a bowl, combine garlic powder, pepper paste, ground ginger, melted butter, salt, black pepper, cumin, grated lemon zest, olive oil, bitter orange juice, and a little saffron.

  2. Prepare the salmon: Place the salmon on a large sheet of aluminum foil. Coat the fish thoroughly with the prepared marinade, gently rubbing it over the surface so the flavors are absorbed.

  3. Add the vegetables: Slice the onions and wash and cut the bell peppers into strips. Arrange the chopped onions and peppers over the salmon.

  4. Add the festive flavors: Place the cinnamon sticks on top of the fish. Arrange the cherry tomatoes around and over the salmon.

  5. Marinate: Fold the foil over the salmon and refrigerate for about 2 hours to allow the fish to absorb the flavors.

  6. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).

  7. Bake: Remove the salmon from the refrigerator and place it, still wrapped in foil, on a baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

  8. Brown the top: Turn on the grill/broiler and cook the salmon for another 10 minutes, or until the surface becomes golden and lightly browned.

  9. Serve: Your festive Christmas salmon is ready. Transfer it carefully to a serving dish and enjoy it while hot.
