SAEDNEWS: If you want to keep limes fresh for a long time, stay with us. We have also discussed important tips on how to properly store lime juice.
According to the Family Service of Saed News, in order to store lemons in the freezer, you should pay attention at the time of purchase and select lemons with the following characteristics:

Choose larger lemons, because larger lemons contain more juice and are more suitable for storage.
The skin should be smooth, clear, shiny, healthy, and free of any brown spots.
Select lemons that feel heavy relative to their size.
The skin should be thin; thick-skinned lemons are usually less juicy and drier.
Avoid lemons with dents or damage on the skin, as this indicates improper storage conditions.
Choose fully ripe lemons, as lemons do not continue to ripen after being picked.
If lemons with these characteristics are selected, they can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
An ethylene absorber is a material that removes ethylene gas. It helps significantly in keeping lemons fresh. Using ethylene absorbers is one of the easiest and most effective long-term storage methods for lemons. These absorbers are available in small paper packets and are commonly used to preserve food for longer periods.

In general, lemons cannot be kept fresh in the refrigerator for long periods unless they are in the form of lemon juice. Instead, the freezer is a better option for long-term preservation.
To freeze lemons:
Wash them thoroughly.
Let them dry on a cloth for several hours.
Place them in a plastic bag or ziplock bag with ethylene absorbers.
Store them in the freezer.
Another method of preserving lemons is storing them in glass containers. Plastic containers should be avoided.
First, remove the seeds, as they can cause bitterness over time.
Then place the lemons in a glass container along with ethylene absorbers.
This method helps keep lemons fresh for a longer time.

Preserving lemons in vinegar and making pickled lemons is another way to extend their shelf life. This method is believed to have additional benefits such as reducing stress and helping with conditions like eczema and mouth ulcers. It is also claimed to be beneficial for cancer patients and in cancer prevention.
One method of preserving lemons is grating them and placing them on foil or a silicone baking sheet.
First, grate the lemons.
Spread them on foil or a silicone baking sheet with ethylene absorber packets.
Place them in the freezer.
Make sure to remove air from plastic bags and use moisture or ethylene absorbers.
To preserve both lemon pulp and zest:
Grate the lemon first.
Spread it on a silicone baking sheet.
Freeze it for several hours.
Once frozen, remove it from the sheet.
Then:
Wrap portions in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to prevent drying.
Place them in a freezer bag and remove as much air as possible.
Store in the freezer or keep in a sealed container.
Whenever you need grated lemon, you can take out a portion and return the rest to the freezer.

If you want to use lemon juice in winter:
Extract juice using a manual or electric juicer.
Pour the juice into ice cube trays.
Freeze it.
This allows you to preserve lemon juice for a longer period.
After freezing:
Transfer the cubes into a freezer bag.
Label the bag for future use.
