SAEDNEWS: Iranian Armed Forces Launch Strikes on U.S. Targets in the Region in Response to American Aggression
According to Saednews, Missile and drone strikes targeting U.S. military bases in the region were carried out on Wednesday morning.
In a statement, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced:
“In response to the aggression of the U.S. military in areas in the south of the country under the alleged pretext of the downing of their helicopter, several U.S. bases in the region were targeted in a powerful operation conducted by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).”
The statement further warned that if the United States repeats any military action against Iran, more extensive and severe strikes would be launched against designated targets across the region.
According to the statement, the operation was carried out as a response to what Iran described as U.S. military aggression in southern parts of the country.
A few hours earlier, U.S. forces had reportedly conducted several attacks on southern Iranian regions, including Qeshm, Jask, Sirik, and Bandar Abbas, citing the downing of one of their helicopters in the Strait of Hormuz as the reason for the operation.
