Saed News: Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, announced that the suspension of the “Freedom Project” operation to escort commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz was carried out at Pakistan’s request.
According to SAEDNEWS, citing Fars News, Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, claimed that Washington halted its “Freedom Project” after Pakistan argued that stopping the operation could help reach an agreement with Iran.
The Freedom Project was a renamed form of U.S. aggression against Iran under the “Epic Fury Operation,” but it was “suspended” only a few hours later by U.S. President Donald Trump, due to what was described as Pakistan’s request to give negotiations a chance.
Meanwhile, during the 24 hours in which the operation began, Iran reportedly disrupted U.S. efforts to escort cargo and commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz by attacking American vessels, causing the mission to fail.
